Extremely comfortable. They appear to be long lasting - several years' use so far. Only now wear will probably require them to be re-soled during this next summer. My favourite shoes for walking/hiking in the winter months.
My general comment - unfortunately this is now the only truly BROWN shoe in today's BAR catalogue in a wide size 48. There is far less choice in BAR's range these days, and what there is has become much more expensive. I'm having to go to other purveyors to satisfy my needs. A great shame! I wish I'd bought more BAR shoes when they were available!

I would like to recommend everyone to have one pair of this shoes.
Because San Remo is not so expensive, but you can feel what Bar shoes are trying to say.
This is my second Bar shoes after Softmoc.
I prefer San Remo, because it's not as soft as Softmoc, so the shape doesn't change so much.
I bought these June 2009, and I actually wear everyday, but I still can use them.
I really agree with the concept that Bar shoes has, these never hurt my feet.
I don't think I can wear any other shoes in my life..it may sound overwhelming but this is my true feeling.
I strongly recommend for a starter!
