BÄR summer festival – the highlight of the year

The 22nd bargain festival at BÄR exceeded
all expectations

The Bär family was tentatively optimistic in the run-up to the summer festival on the company premises in Bietigheim-Bissingen. Could they dare to hope for a repeat of the success of the previous year? Two weeks before the festival, over 400 people had accepted the invitation and optimism turned into excited anticipation.

Calli, Reiner Callmund, flew in at the last minute from Bangkok, and Kelly, Joey Kelly, came straight off the finishing straight of a race to be at the festival. Five hundred guests came from all over Germany with a few guests of honour from Spain and Japan.

A walk with the stars with Calli, Kelly and the Bär family

One hundred guests had signed up for the "walk with the stars" with Calli, Kelly and the Bär family and showed just how much they love walking in the photo shoot at the nearby eighteenth-century "Lustschlösschen", built as a summer residence for Duke Eberhard Ludwig. A massive smile was the result thanks to "spaghetti" and "ant shit" inspired by Calli. Calli entertained the people on the walk with stories of his Iron-Calli project and Kelly provided plenty of valuable tips from an extreme athlete – not that they really helped make the walk up to the Lustschlösschen any flatter! And the fact that Reiner Callmund was suffering from a feverish cold made his lecture on "Expertise and passion: the key to success" all the more impressive. He gave his all until he was completely exhausted and thus proved that passion does guarantee you success, even in extreme situations. His success was 500 enthusiastic people who hung on his every word for an hour and a half and who were still enthralled as Calli headed off to his sick bed.

Fun, laughter and a few tips on running from Joey Kelly

It’s not easy to take the stage after Calli. But Joey Kelly was ready to take up the challenge. As part of the legendary Kelly Family, he has known about fighting all his life and has made it his passion in his pursuit of extreme sports. He knew all about BÄR running shoes from the extreme sports scene, where the shoes are popular, and recommended them to Calli. The recommendation to the audience, torn between laughing and sheer astonishment, was that you should always be on the look-out for a lucky opportunity and always take advantage of it when it comes your way. Calli and Kelly created an atmosphere that mirrored what the BÄR family and brand are all about: you can move mountains with expertise, passion and the luck of the courageous. In the case of the Bär family, they have changed the life of millions of customers because as BÄR has promised for years now: things will go well for you. A feeling of total satisfaction could be perceived as the last happy customer left the festival.

And the fact that their last comment that day was "Next year we will do even better!" is absolutely characteristic of the family's attitude – both to life and to work.
