Genuine plaited shoes are a rarity nowadays – not surprisingly. These shoes, that have no annoying seams, are plaited by hand by an experienced craftsman directly on the BÄR last in a single working step that takes hours. The result is therefore completely different from what you would expect from normal summer shoes. And it’s certainly worth the effort: a splendidly airy but sturdy summer shoe that is delicate and makes you feel as if you are walking barefoot even though it has the look of an exclusive court shoe. The complicated pattern features charcoal-coloured and silver Chevreaux leather to create a matt shimmering airy upper. Heel and strap are lined with soft Chevreaux leather. The elegant foot décolleté and the 23mm dynamic heel that encourages the foot’s natural roll make your legs look longer. “Clara” is the masterpiece of our summer collection. Chevreaux
The word chèvre is French for goat. The special characteristics of Chevreaux leather are the silky matt shine and the crescent-shaped scars. It is the most precious leather for uppers.
