The perfect BÄR fitPlease take the following two points into consideration when trying on our shoes: |

When your feet are right at the back of the shoe (at the heel),
|
If you slide your foot forwards right to the front of the shoe, there should be a gap of a finger’s width between your heel and the shoe.

An important tip from Hilke Bär herself:“It is best to try our shoes in the evening because your feet spread a few millimetres as the day wears on. Try both shoes at the same time and walk a little in them: only by standing and walking can you see whether your new BÄR shoes are really a perfect fit. Looking down at them when you first try them on, you might get the impression that your original BÄR shoes are a little broader than other shoes. But who looks at your shoes from that angle? Thanks to the carefully thought out and perfectly tailored cut, your shoes seen from the side or front – for example if you are standing in front of the mirror – look slim, fashionable and attractive. And so do you.” |

A shoe from the BÄR workshop for comfortable shoes is not only healthy in every way, it is also attractive. Naturally, our original BÄR shoes are a little broader than many other shoes at the front, and for a very good reason: it is essential to the generous toe zone typical to BÄR shoes. The first time you try on your BÄR shoes, you might get the impression that they are too big. Give it time because you only get that feeling because you are used to the lack of space in normal shoes. Follow the two steps below to determine your perfect BÄR fit. If your heel is comfortable, the shoe is a snug fit over your instep and you have 3 – 4 mm space in front of your toes without your foot sliding about, then you have found the ideal fit!
