Extremely comfortable. They appear to be long lasting - several years' use so far. Only now wear will probably require them to be re-soled during this next summer. My favourite shoes for walking/hiking in the winter months.
My general comment - unfortunately this is now the only truly BROWN shoe in today's BAR catalogue in a wide size 48. There is far less choice in BAR's range these days, and what there is has become much more expensive. I'm having to go to other purveyors to satisfy my needs. A great shame! I wish I'd bought more BAR shoes when they were available!

Excellent walking shoes
These are excellent, hard wearing walking shoes. I have two pairs and use them every day walking the dog on Ilkley Moor. They are waterproof and good for walking on rough ground. One minor gripe; the soles pick up and retain mud and gravel, so you need to change your shoes when you get home.
